About the Game

Learning thousands of Japanese Kanji can be a daunting task, so we built a game to turn procrastination into progress.

Yomifuda: Kanji Survivors is a vocabulary-fueled bullet heaven where your knowledge is your only weapon. In this roguelite experience, reading and understanding words is the key to gaining power. Face down screen-filling hordes and fight your way toward Japanese fluency.

Master the Essentials

Learn all basic characters (Hiragana and Katakana) and all basic Kanji. Includes full audio for Onyomi and Kunyomi to sharpen your listening skills*.

The game tracks your progress and adapts to your skill level, introducing new challenges while reinforcing what you've already learned.

A Companion for the Long Road Ahead

Bond with a companion that grows with you. Feed and pet your friend to take a break from the battlefield, the perfect motivation to jump in for your daily study session (not available in the Demo).
