Wirehawk
About the Game
Wirehawk brings back the arcade shmup of the golden age, redrawn in glowing vector lines on pure black - with a choice of two control modes, each tuned for its device. Mouse mode delivers modern, precise control - your ship goes exactly where your hand goes, fast and pixel-sharp. Controller mode is built for the stick: enemy fire, contact speeds and warnings are tuned so a gamepad plays fair, with its own progress and its own leaderboards. You just fly; your laser never stops firing. Fight your way up through the stages of distinct neon worlds, face a boss every tenth stage, and push your laser from a single beam to a screen-filling fan of over twenty. Score high enough and Nightmare unlocks: endless waves that get faster, denser and tougher, one life, no god mode, and a leaderboard of its own.
Pure neon vector look - every line drawn, no sprites
Asteroid runs, alien arenas, boss fights
Reaction over memorization - no scripted waves, each enemy hunts you with its own behavior
Power-ups, helper drones, homing missiles and time-slowing stasis
Two control modes - razor-sharp mouse or a controller mode tuned for the stick; autofire always on
Nightmare mode - endless waves, one life, unlocked by score, with its own leaderboards
Short runs, instant restarts, old-school "one more go" scoring
Global Steam leaderboards - separate boards for mouse and controller, every world you conquer counts
