About the Game

Winds of Bounty is a casual, fast-paced single and network multi player, competitive sailing exploration and treasure hunting game, featuring multiple game modes:

  • Treasure Hunt: Collect the most treasure before the timer runs out, or you are sunk a specified number of times!

  • Monster Hunt: Clear the high seas of as many monsters as you can within the time limit/life count.

  • Orb Hunt: Be the first Captain to find and collect all of the lost Orbs of Power!

  • Race: Beat rival Captains in a sailing race to the finish line! (...of course while avoiding the odd monster or two along the way!)

  • Arena: Frenzied close-quarters mode where all action happens within the bounds of a single screen!

  • Treasure Gallery: Grab the most treasure from a continuous stream of loot zooming across the map!

Features

  • Search the high seas for lost treasure while avoiding a variety of hungry monsters, making use of an array of weapons and powerups to defend your ship!

  • Game modes featuring the ability to score points by delivering precious cargo between ports – the more distant the delivery, the greater the reward! (though be careful not to be sunk and lose the cargo along the way, or your crew will end up having to pay for it!!).

  • Powerful storms can blow your ship off course, straight into monsters, and even smash you against dangerous reefs. Be careful of these!

  • A variety of options and settings allow you to control various aspects of gameplay, such as the type and frequency of monster encounters, the rarity of treasure, available items, storms, and various other settings, helping you customise your game the way you prefer to play.

  • Start new games using procedurally-generated maps of a selected size, with the option to save and keep maps that you like. You can also import your own custom-designed game maps using specially-made image files.

Notes regarding Networked Multiplayer support

Networked Multiplayer functionality supports self-hosting only, and does not include any kind of ‘matchmaking’ functionality beyond very basic local network/LAN game discovery. Play over the public internet is supported only via Direct IP connection to a hosting player.

Please be advised that for logistical and legal reasons, we have no plans to support public servers, matchmaking, or in-game chat, etc. for this game.
