William's Wideblock
About the Game
William's Wideblock is a minimalist take on the classic block puzzle games of yesteryear.
-Gameplay Explained-
In Wideblock the goal is to clear blocks to fill a progress meter, each time the meter is filled, the game's pace is accelerated. There are two methods to clearing blocks.
The first is following the classic formula of neatly stacking the shapes together to make a complete horizontal line, once a line is formed, the blocks in that line are cleared from the playing field and remaining blocks are shifted down.
The second method is to clear blocks vertically with the super drop ability. Super drop has two charges and is on a set cooldown, so it may need to be used wisely.
-Key Features-
Wide Playfield
The playfield is expanded roughly double the size of the classics to account for the gameplay changes.
Wide Variety of Shapes
There is a total of 16 standard shapes, varying in size and form.
Wide Blocks
The player is given 1 of 8 Wide Blocks every so often to do with as they will.
Mirror Ability
The player has the ability to mirror an asymmetrical shape to fit different situations. Mirror is on a short cooldown.
Super Drop Ability
As stated above Super Drop slams down your current shape clearing blocks vertically along with clearing the controlled shape itself. Super Drop has two charges on a set cooldown.
