Who Is Real?

Who Is Real?

About the Game

Who Is Real is a unique multiplayer experience that invites players into a dark and gloomy medieval tavern for a game of social deception and observation.

In each match, five real players are hidden among dozens of AI-controlled characters (NPCs). The goal is to act like an ordinary NPC to hide your identity while observing others to uncover who the real players are. Everyone is both hunter and prey.

At the start of each round, players receive random tasks and outfits. Some characters play music, others perform tasks or simply wander around the tavern, blending naturally into the environment. Each character has a visible number, and players can use the “report” button to accuse others they believe are real players.

If the reported person is indeed a player, a terrifying Plague Doctor enters the tavern and drags them into a dark room, eliminating them. But if the target is an NPC, the player who reported them is punished. If no one reports, the Plague Doctors eventually begin randomly removing NPCs, increasing the pressure and forcing passive players to act.

There is no direct voice chat, but players can use predefined phrases (like “What are you doing?” or “How’s your task?”) to communicate in writing when near each other. This adds another layer to both social interaction and observation.

Who Is Real uses a lobby system, with each match starting dynamically with different players. As players gain experience, they level up, track stats, and climb the global leaderboard.

Blending stealth, strategy, observation, and roleplay, Who Is Real offers a tense, varied experience where every round is unique. Spotting what’s real takes more than a glance — it requires instinct.

Imitate. Observe. Expose.
