Veridium: Final Pulse is an engaging sci-fi card battler that blends a linear narrative with a tactical positional combat system. Take control of the Iridian Iris and lead the resistance on an epic mission to wrest the planet from the hands of 5 ruthless emperors. In this universe, your only weapon is the strategic composition of your deck.

The Sacrifice of Veridium

The 5 Emperors have a brutal plan: sacrifice the entire Iridian population to breathe life back into the dying planet Veridium. The world's life energy has been unconsciously drained by the mere existence of the Iridians; the tyrants' goal is to reset the life cycle, returning Veridium to a primordial era populated exclusively by their species. To stop them, Iris must lead a squad of warriors who, despite their metallic bodies, harbor a deeply human consciousness and feelings.

Battle Dynamics

No narrative branches here: your only choice is strategy on the board. The combat system relies on precise rules and careful space management:

  • Win Condition: Plan your offensives to completely deplete your opponent's life points before they do the same to yours.

  • The Battle Grid: Each player manages 8 zones on the field, strategically divided into 4 Forefront zones (for direct front-line clashes) and 4 Support zones (for the rear guard and buffs).

  • The 4 Card Types: Build your deck by combining four distinct categories, each with its own tactical purpose:

    • Creatures: Your combat units to deploy on the grid.

    • Protocols: Tactical directives and immediate-activation effects.

    • Powers: Persistent abilities capable of altering the course of the match.

    • Anomalies: Unforeseen events that shatter the rules of the board.

  • The COUNTERATTACK Mechanic: Retreat is not an option. If one of your creatures takes an attack but manages to survive the impact, an automatic COUNTERATTACK will trigger, striking back directly at the unit that harmed it.

The Connector Network

The true tactical innovation lies in the positioning and orientation of your units via Connectors: power plug icons printed on some cards and rotated toward specific zones of the gaming grid.

  • EMITS: When a card with this ability is deployed on the field, it EMITS special impulses and bonuses that grant powerful effects and traits to any ally located in the zones targeted by its power plugs.

  • RECEIVES: This trait regulates the game's most devastating and destructive units through a conditional activation system. A creature with the RECEIVES trait begins with an initial lock, rendering it unable to attack on its own. To activate and unleash its full potential, it must be connected, meaning it must occupy a zone on the field targeted by another ally card's connector.

    However, meeting this requirement grants a massive tactical advantage: once a connection is established, the unit not only unlocks the ability to attack but also unleashes a powerful, unique additional effect as a reward.

Arsenal Evolution

Your rise to power is deeply tied to your victories throughout the game's linear story:

  • Steal the Enemy Deck: Every time you defeat an opponent in battle, you will claim their entire deck and all their cards as a reward, instantly expanding your deckbuilding options.

  • Frontier Markets: Visit dedicated shops distributed throughout the story to purchase rare cards and components useful for optimizing your tactics.

  • Scalable Power: The deeper you venture into enemy territory, the more the cards you unlock or purchase will scale in power and complexity, preparing you for lethal clashes with the 5 Emperors.
