About the Game

Usurper is an incremental space shooter built around taking control of your enemies. Seize enemy ships, command their firepower, and turn their weapons to your advantage. Collect alloy in battle, research technology, and combine unit abilities as you grow strong enough to take on new sectors and bosses.

Seize Enemy Ships. Build Your Fleet.

Keep a target within capture range to gradually take control of it. Ships that once hunted you turn blue and join the fleet orbiting around you. Let Gunners keep firing, Wardens intercept projectiles, and Carriers launch attack craft. Build your own fleet from the enemy's ranks.

Keep Their Support or Unleash Their Abilities?

Controlled units can stay in formation to support you, or be activated to unleash their individual abilities. Launch a Dart, sweep through nearby enemies, charge your way out of danger, or drop bombs on a target.

Activation consumes a unit or one of its remaining uses. You decide which units to keep fighting at your side and which to spend on a breakthrough.

Research Technology. Make Your Units Work Together.

Invest the alloy you earn in the tech tree to capture enemies more efficiently, expand your formation, and improve each unit type's attacks and abilities. Unlock synergies between units and new ways to fight.

Even if a sortie ends in defeat, you keep the alloy you've earned and the research you've completed. Pick up the upgrades you need and try again.

Unlock New Forms and Wield Their Abilities Yourself

Defeat the corresponding bosses to unlock 11 specialized forms. Continuously sweep through nearby enemies, launch your own charges, or become a Carrier and send out attack craft.

Choose your ship's form and starting unit separately before each sortie. Combine them with the units you capture in battle to try different mixes of offense and support.

Fight Through 8 Sectors and Break Their Bosses' Defenses

From armored machines to towering fortresses with mechanical arms and carriers that keep launching squadrons, each sector has a different boss waiting to challenge you.

Dodge attacks, destroy components, and find openings. Use captured units to counter each boss's attacks and defenses. With stronger firepower from research and the right use of unit abilities, defenses that once held you back begin to crumble.

Finish the Campaign. Continue the Conquest.

After completing the campaign, enter Endless Conquest to face increasingly powerful enemy waves and bosses, and continue researching endgame technologies.

Unlock form shifting to change mid-battle into your selected unit's corresponding form, provided you've already unlocked it. Research Nuclear Shift to trigger a wide-area blast when you transform. Put endgame technology to work for you.
