About the Game

A twin-stick shooter designed for learners of Japanese.

A mysterious fleet of Katakana has invaded the galaxy and stole the meanings from all the words in the universe, plunging the world into chaos. Now the ancient starship Mu, the only vessel capable of restoring true meaning to words, sorties to reclaim language and restore order.

Choose a deck, blast words, and turn correct answers into power.

Stack powers that change the way you play. 

From regenerative burst shields that detonate when broken.

To drones that fight with you, catch incoming enemy fire, and even rebuild themselves when destroyed.

Shooting a word presents four choices. Pick the right one to earn a power-up and strengthen your build. Survive increasingly intense waves while mastering your Japanese, with study progress saved between runs.

Pick a built-in deck or import your own from a CSV file, then battle through the words you want to master.
