Trawler's Wake
About the Game
«YOU’LL NEVER WANT TO LEAVE!»
You were expecting a paradise harbor from the brochure: sand, sun, cold beer, and a few days without a care. Instead, you get a beat-up fishing backwater where everything goes mad before you even step away from the bus.
Ever had that happen? Well, you will.
Anomaly zones, mutants, flooded neighborhoods, abandoned research sites, and a sea that has clearly lost its mind.
Welcome to GREYWHARF!
DAYTIME: FILL THE CRATES, CASH IN
Grab your rod, pack what you need, and sail out for a fresh catch. Who knows what you’ll pull from these waters: a hefty bream, an old boot, or something that never made it into any fishing guide.
Sell everything you can cram aboard, drain the trader’s wallet, and buy yourself better gear.
Daytime is usually calm, apart from the obnoxious seagulls. Cast a line and relax, or sail somewhere you haven’t been before. Maybe you’ll find something interesting. Or at least a bigger fish.
OLD, RUSTY, STILL KICKING
This old tub once struck fear into every fish for miles around. But that was a very long time ago.
Now this rusty trawler is your ride, your storage, and your lifeline. The dashboard works, the lights turn on, and the ignition seems to be holding together.
But keeping it running will take work. You’ll need to watch your fuel, patch up the engine, scavenge parts to upgrade the old gear, and earn enough cash to install something new.
With enough effort and a bit of brains - even this rusted-out wreck can become a legend again.
NIGHT: HIGH PROFITS, LOW SURVIVAL ODDS
The night catch is pure gold. Fish like that could easily set you up for a comfortable retirement, but there’s a catch.
After sundown, every creature - whether it swims, flies, or crawls - tries to eat either your catch or you.
At this hour, you become the bait yourself, unless you’ve got a few aces up your sleeve.
Try not to draw attention, but be ready to fight back or get the hell out at any moment.
