The White Lamb: No Shelter

The White Lamb: No Shelter

About the Game

In the silent depths of a deep coma, consciousness dissolves into a labyrinth built from forgotten memories. Every trauma you refuse to face does not disappear — it festers, twists, and grows into something that hunts you from within.

The White Lamb : No Shelter is a narrative-driven first-person psychological horror shooter. You step into the mind of White Lamb, a second-generation human test subject forced into competitive gymnastics by the woman she calls mother — a researcher tasked with unlocking her latent superpowers. Her red dance dress, her stage dreams, her right to choose her own life: all were crushed under endless training and cold scrutiny. When school bullying and her mother’s sudden abandonment push her past breaking point, the Id and Superego deep within her psyche spiral out of control. She inflicts harm upon herself in the throes of breakdown, and sinks into an endless, dreamless coma.

Who are you? You are the Ego — the core, host personality, the fragile balance between primal instinct and moral reason. You hold the power of self-healing, but you were the first to be erased. You wake in this twisted realm with no memory, no sense of self, and no idea why every corner feels like a half-remembered nightmare.

Where are you? You wander through a domain of consciousness stitched together from lingering memory fragments. An empty gymnasium where training commands echo forever. A dim alley littered with torn pieces of a red dress. A silent house where a cold dinner grows untouched on the table. Every wall, every shadow, every mirror holds a piece of the trauma you buried deep. Somewhere in the reflection, another version of yourself watches.

What must you do? You must reclaim every lost shard of memory. You must mend the rift with your impulsive Id, and face the unforgiving judgment of your Superego. Only by reconciling the fractured pieces of your psyche can you end this cycle of self-punishment, and wake from the coma that has trapped you.

Core Gameplay Grip the firearm manifested from your will, and the red butterfly knife stained with the weight of your despair. The pink rabbits that lurk in every shadow are not mere enemies — they are grotesque echoes of your bullies, warped by your subconscious into predatory monsters. They swarm when your guard is down, tearing at your mental defenses with raw, primal malice. Strike them down with precise gunfire, or sink the blade into them from the shadows for a silent, fatal blow. Every hit is a strike back against the trauma that shaped them.

Traverse twisted memoryscapes, solve puzzles hidden within the details of everyday objects, leap across towering, uneven gymnastics apparatus, and run for your life from surging tides of negative emotion that threaten to swallow you whole. There is no safe corner in this realm — your own mind is the hunting ground.

The Faces of Your Psyche You will cross paths with the Crimson Lamb — the embodiment of your Id. Fiery, impulsive, and driven only by the instinct to protect you, she is as dangerous as she is hurt. She will meet you with hostility at first, convinced you are just another voice trying to control her. To earn her trust, you must retrieve the broken pieces of what was taken from you: the dance competition invitation your mother destroyed, the red dance dress your bullies threw into the garbage. Once aligned, she will fight beside you, incinerating waves of enemies with her laser eyes — a reminder that even your most destructive impulses were born from a need to survive.

At the deepest end of your consciousness waits the Azure Lamb — the embodiment of your Superego. She is the voice that tells you you are never good enough. She is the urge to run from every flaw, every mistake, every imperfect part of who you are. She will manipulate every object in the environment to break you, to punish you, to make you surrender to the idea that you deserve to be trapped. This is no ordinary boss fight. You are not fighting an enemy. You are fighting the part of yourself that wants you to stay broken forever.

A Work of Psychological Horror Every design element in The White Lamb : No Shelter is rooted in established psychological theory. This is not just a game about fighting monsters — it is a mirror held up to the inner workings of trauma, dissociation, and self-reconciliation. Through the lens of horror, you will confront the ways the mind protects itself from pain, and discover that the scariest prison of all is the one we build inside our own heads.

When the gunfire fades and the labyrinth of memory crumbles, will you have the courage to gather every broken piece of yourself, and step back into an imperfect world?
