The Return of Illunes

The Return of Illunes

About the Game

An AI lives inside this game — and it runs entirely on your PC.

Every run, the on-device AI system — a language model working together with runtime generators — weaves your run's story, synergies, oaths, world mutations, subclasses, gear, relics, skills and enemy loadouts. No two runs tell the same story.

What the AI creates every run

  • Run Bible — goals, threats, boss hints and the mood of this run, written fresh. "A misty manor ruled by the swamp puppeteer."
  • Synergies (3–5 per run) — run-defining rules like "fire attacks inflict bleed" or "crits reset cooldowns".
  • Oaths — brutal bargains offered by a mysterious trader. "No healing, but +30% attack."
  • World Mutations — board-twisting modifiers. "All enemies explode on death. Shops half price, no resting."
  • Subclasses — beyond 4 classes × 3 handcrafted subclasses, the AI spins up new ones every run: "The Silent Butcher", "Priest of the Ashen Scripture".
  • Gear & Relics — the AI writes each item's name and flavor on the spot, while the game sets the numbers. The same loot never drops twice.
  • Free Actions — type your own move: "I kick the brazier over and slip behind the ogre in the smoke." The AI judges it — ordinary, clever, or game-changing — and narrates what happens. Wit beats numbers.

What makes this AI different

  • Fully offline — the language model ships inside the game and runs on your machine. Play on a plane. Nothing is sent anywhere.
  • No subscription, no tokens — one purchase, infinite AI content.
  • Fast — with a GPU, AI responses land in about a second. The AI never hides behind loading screens.
  • Safe by design — every AI-generated line passes a programmatic check before it reaches your screen; numbers, rules and difficulty are always decided by deterministic game code.

A full roguelike TRPG underneath

  • 4 classes, 12 handcrafted subclasses, 7 recruitable companions with their own skills and quests
  • Party battles (up to 4) with summons, combos, enemy intent telegraphs and boss phase mechanics
  • Branching run maps: battles, elites, shops, rests, traders, shrines, gambling dens and story events
  • Threat system — the more you break the rules, the harder the world pushes back
  • Permanent meta progression: facilities, skill trees, a relic vault that never fills up
  • 1 run = 40–90 minutes × hundreds of runs. Fully offline, no server required
