About the Game

The Last Comfort is a grueling, atmospheric 2D Metroidvania set within the decaying subconscious of a dying child. You play as Tedd, a simple childhood toy thrust into a brutal dark fantasy nightmare. To save what remains of the child's fading mind, you must descend into twisted biomes and battle nightmares and fears.

Forget mindless button-mashing. Survival in this mindscape requires absolute precision, spacing, and patience. Engage in heavy, methodical combat where every swing carries weight and consequence. Master the block system to stagger enemies and bosses, utilize tactical "fade-away" slashes to control your spacing, and punish enemy mistakes with devastating counter-attacks.


The deepest parts of the mind are guarded by massive, multi-phased monstrosities. From the ground-shattering Quartz Colossus to the claustrophobic area-denial of Milo, every boss is a grueling exam of your reflexes and patience.


Journey through beautifully decaying mindscapes, from the echoing depths of the Crystal Well to the hostile, shadowy canopies of the Mirewood Hollows. Uncover hidden pathways and unlock new movement abilities to traverse a massive, non-linear world.

You are never locked into a single playstyle. Discover and equip powerful Bracelets to completely alter your combat loop.
