The Genetic Dilemma
About the Game
In this fictional near future, full-body transplants preserve the brain while replacing the rest of the body. The Genetic Dilemma is a short sci-fi narrative adventure about life after surgery. The story unfolds in a circular city of free self-driving transport, where a vast tower known as the Center serves as the hub of city life.
You return to everyday life after the operation, and before long, your own scent begins to feel wrong. At first, it seems minor—easy to dismiss as part of adjusting to a new body. But the feeling gradually grows heavier, until it becomes harder to ignore and harder to explain.
As you search for a reason, you begin paying closer attention to what your body is doing in everyday life. Little by little, the way you understand this new body begins to shift. Through smell—a sense that reaches deep into the brain—the story follows life after surgery and the changes unfolding in the body.
