The Drifting Crown
About the Game
The Drifting Crown is a Victorian-era, steampunk styled action, adventure game, with roguelike elements where death is inevitable, monsters get nastier every run, and your noble quest is to reopen the only pub left standing. Why? Because when the ale runs dry, humanity loses its last shred of sanity. And let’s be honest, no one survives the apocalypse sober.
Build, Explore, Die (Repeat)
Using mystical tiles you collect during runs, you’ll rebuild and reshape each unique area before diving in to explore. From forests, sludge fields and industrial wastelands, every choice changes your path, your loot, and your chances of surviving the next monstrosity lurking in the dark.
Survival is temporary. But every death gets you closer to stronger weapons, upgraded gear, and eventually, a round at the pub.
Features
Roguelike Mayhem – Every run is different, every death educational, and every monster meaner than the last.
Tile-Based Worldbuilding – Collect tiles to rebuild the broken world and unlock new routes, secrets, and dangers.
Upgrade or Perish – Gather currencies to enhance weapons, gear, and skills. Because nothing says progress like dying slightly slower!
Steampunk Vibes and British Humour? – A Victorian-inspired setting with pipes, gears, and just enough sarcasm to make you question your life choices.
The Pub Hub – Your central base where upgrades happen, a likely story unfolds, and everyone desperately waits for the taps to flow again.
A World on the Edge
Monsters prowl the ruins, machines designed to protect humanity have gone mad, and the landscapes themselves creak and crumble. Yet amid the despair, one truth holds firm: if you can’t laugh in the face of doom, you may as well have a drink.
So grab your weapon, brace yourself for another fatal run, and remember: Save the pub, save the world!
