About the Game

The Department is a story‑driven detective game, you step into the role of a newly assigned Detective Sergeant working cases in a gritty modern-day Welsh city in the midst of a dark conspiracy.

Every case is a fully playable investigation built around evidence, interviews, timelines, and deduction. Explore crime scenes, analyse clues, question suspects, and uncover contradictions as you build your case from the ground up.

Use the tools of the trade; forensics, dynamic interrogations and a customisable case board to organise your findings, connect evidence, and develop your own theories. The Department is designed to engage you in authentic detective work.

As your investigation deepens, the choices you make will shape the cases outcome, and the fate of the city itself. But be warned, in this city, some secrets are best left buried.
