The Dark Forest

About the Game

The forest does not want you to leave.

You can see only as far as your light reaches. Somewhere in the dark is the way down. Somewhere else, a stalker is already moving. It hears footsteps. If it sees you, it closes the distance.

Each depth is a different wood. The light tightens. The hunt gets meaner. On the third depth a bow is waiting in a clearing. Arrows are scarce. A shot can drop a stalker, snap against a trunk, or disappear where you will have to go looking for it.

Kill every stalker and the wood goes still. An old voice in the fog knows what sleeps beneath the forest. He says the deepest exit is the way to it.

Ten depths. One life. When you die, you start over with nothing.
