About the Game
TANGENT is easy to pick up and hard to master.

What started as a climb-to-the-top challenge like Celeste, Getting Over It, or Pogostuck turned into a short-burst, time-trial style game closer to Trackmania.
The goal is simple: beat par times, keep your momentum, and find that perfect rhythm from swing to swing.
Each difficulty ends with a Marathon Stage. Play all the previous levels in a row.

In TANGENT, the audio reacts to your speed. The faster you go, the more intense the music gets — like you’re building the track as you play. Every little sound, from grappling to pumping fits into the overall song, making every run feel alive and musical.

Controls
Left Mouse: Grapple / Release
Spacebar: Pump (while attached) / Jump (on ground)
Shift + R: Restart instantly (R for soft restart)

Please offer any and all feedback, recommendations, glitch reports, etc. This is the demo/proof of concept, and the full game is still in the works (about 80% done).
