Tales of Medieval Duelists is a 2D Fighting RPG featuring real-time physics-driven combat, with no pre-baked animations. Every clash, slash, and parry is simulated in real time, bringing you a distinct sense of impact, weight, and satisfying feedback. Forge your legend across a vast world of interconnected stories, deep progression, and high replayability.

## Build Your Legend

* **A Living World:** Engage with a rich, hand-crafted core story through main quests, side missions, and intense challenges. Your actions shape your reputation.

* **True Customization:** A deep paper-doll system lets you mix and match armor and weapons purchased from merchants, visibly changing your appearance.

* **Trade & Gear Up:** Seek out merchants clad in blue on your travels. Spend gold earned from quests to purchase superior arms and armor, strategically strengthening your duelist for the trials ahead.

* **The Streak is Key:** Build a winning streak by triumphing in consecutive battles. Your **Reward Multiplier** increases with each victory, making high-risk, high-skill play the fastest path to power.

This game features a groundbreaking AI-assisted story generation system. Our technology can already create complete, high-quality narratives with interconnected quests, dialogue, and unique characters—but this requires heavy computing resources.

To deliver the best possible experience at launch, the game will release with two expertly crafted core story campaigns. Based on player feedback, we plan to fully unlock the custom story generator later. You’ll be able to create your own tales, and the game will dynamically build main quests, side quests, NPCs, and key plot elements around your vision.

## A Dance of Blades: Physics-Based Dueling

Forget pre-scripted attacks. Here, your sword is an object with mass and momentum. Master the intricate, skill-based control scheme to outwit and overpower your foes.

* **Movement:** Press **Right Key / Left Key** to advance or retreat with purpose.

* **Overhead Slash:** Hold **Up Key**, then release and immediately press **Down Key**. Time it perfectly for maximum force.

* **Thrust:** Hold **G**, then release and instantly press **H** for a swift, piercing attack.

* **Dynamic Defense:** Hold **E** to guard against slashes or **R** to block thrusts. But true masters don't just block...

* **The Parry:** Execute the correct block (**E** or **R**) just as an enemy's attack is about to land. A successful parry will stagger your opponent, leaving them vulnerable and rewarding you with a crucial opening.
