Surfin' Landes

Ever heard of Contis? Probably not. It's a tiny beach in the Landes, in south-western France: pine forests, sand dunes, a lifeguard station and the ocean as far as the eye can see.

Your new summer job? Watch over the coast by day and sip a few beers by night.

Grab a buddy and become lifeguards

Surfin' Landes is played in 2-player co-op only: one player surfs the waves, the other flies a parachute high in the sky.

The Surfer rides the waves, dives underwater, brings every swimmer back to shore, and smashes seagulls with his board.

The Parachutist watches over the beach from the sky. She never hesitates to whack hang gliders with her canopy when they fly a little too close.

At the end of the day, the two partners often treat themselves to a break on top of the lifeguard tower: they enjoy a hot dog, crack open a beer and toast to the day's heroics.

Your mission: protect the Landes

You'll have to work together to defend the Landes coast against countless dangers:

Giant fish leaping out of the water to devour you: slice them to pieces with your board.

A school of piranhas threatening the coast? No problem: the town hall provides you with the appropriate extermination gear.

On your lifeguard summer schedule: electric jellyfish, toxic barrels, a whale to rescue, a storm, an erupting volcano, dolphins to ride, a cruise ship and plenty of other mishaps not covered by your precarious contract.

Protect the wildlife

Ride a pelican that swallows everything in sight and gets fatter with every bite.

Tame dolphins.

Rescue abandoned dogs and take them in at the station.

Upgrade your lifeguard tower

Between missions, unlock a cooler for beers, a barbecue to grill sausages, a pool for belly flops and dives, and even catch a night-time concert in the warm Landes atmosphere.
