Immerse yourself in the life of a dwarven colony: delve for valuable resources, build mighty halls, brew and sample new kinds of ale, conduct daring experiments, forge ancient runic weapons, beat back marauding orcs, resolve clan conflicts, and immortalize grudges in the venerable Book of Stone.

Forged by hand: Stoneborn is the passion project of a solo developer. Get involved, share your feedback, and help shape the game step by step.

Start with a humble outpost and transform it into a legendary mountain fortress by shaping your economy and optimizing production. Plan efficient production chains, unlock new resources, cultivate underground crops, and keep your stores full, your ale flowing, and your trade booming.

Each dwarf is a unique individual whose moods, relationships, and conflicts shape the daily life of your colony. Drunken miners, pacifist warriors, or quarrelsome cooks: procedurally generated traits ensure every dwarf brings their own kind of chaos and endless emergent stories.

Dig through multiple levels, expand your underground realm, and discover vast caverns rich in resources yet filled with dangers lurking in the dark. Choose whether to delve ever deeper in search of glory and wealth, or seal the depths to keep ancient threats at bay.

Design intricate mechanical contraptions to make your fortress more efficient and secure. Set your own research goals, create new devices, or brew new kinds of ale, for great inventions are often born after the third mug. But be warned: not every experiment leads to success.

Balance internal politics to maintain a stable and prosperous society through diplomacy and trade. Hold grudges, intervene in disputes, appease offended dwarves, negotiate with rival clans and guilds, and make decisions that determine order or chaos within your colony.

Protect your colony from external threats by constructing defenses and leading your warriors into battle. Build walls, towers, and clever traps, or trust in thundering black powder weapons, heavy plate armor, and the steel and iron will of your dwarves.

Customize every setting and shape the world the way you want. Start with a single dwarf, create and explore a dense jungle, or face a world filled with necromancers. Every choice is yours. This is how unique stories unfold and how your own legend is forged.
