About the Game

Grab your guitar, bass, or sticks and chase the perfect run. Sound System is a rock rhythm game where you climb the multiplier, keep the streak alive, and play a setlist from established and emerging artists. Then open the PulseMap editor, load your own music, and chart it yourself. If you can hear it, you can play it.

PLAY IT RIGHT

Hit the notes, hold the sustains, bend them with the whammy, and watch your multiplier climb. If you grew up on Guitar Hero, your hands already know what to do. Everything you loved about the classics is here, rebuilt for today.

• Guitar, bass, and drums, playable on all the mainstream guitar and drum controllers, keyboards, and gamepads.

• Four difficulties. Easy starts you on three frets. Legendary uses all five and throws hammer-ons, pull-offs, tapping, and up/down strumming at you.

• Classic Mode: you can't fail, and the timing is forgiving. Just play.

• Pro Mode: miss 11 notes and you're out. The timing is tight, and every note is rated Bronze, Silver, or Gold.

START A BAND

• Local play for up to three players. Any lineup works. Two bassists? Go for it.

• Co-op: play well together and the show gets bigger, with shared multipliers and stage effects.

• Competitive: each player gets their own stage and multiplier. Highest score wins.

CHART ANYTHING

Charting has kept the Clone Hero and YARG scenes alive for years. Bring those charts with you: Sound System imports them directly. Then use the PulseMap editor to chart a song you wrote, or a band that isn't in the library yet. Load the audio and build the chart from scratch, or adjust any chart that's already there.

MADE FOR REAL INDIE MUSIC

Sound System is built around independent music, and its community is where the next emerging artists come from. Players bring their own tracks, chart each other's songs, and the ones that catch on turn their makers into names the whole community knows. Bring your band's demo. Bring the bedroom recording. Someone out there wants to play it.
