Soul Monsters: Raijin Sky

Soul Monsters: Raijin Sky

About the Game

A Soul Monsters Side Story — The Priestess Tales

Before Radan's Journey — before the priestesses took their places. This is how the sky found its own.

A wingless goblin

Raijin has no wings. All she has is a thunder club and a stubborn wish to go up.
The sky-folk tell her to go back below the beacon tower. That night a thunder magatama falls onto the ash road — and she starts to climb.

Seven weapons, three evolutions

  • 7 weapons — Raijin's own Thunder Club plus six weapons sealed away by the sky: Beads, Dart, Lance, Talisman, Mirror and Blade. Each changes your shot, charge attack and bomb. Swap between your two slots at any time.
  • Charge attack — hold to wind up a heavy close-range blow. Your options stop while you hold it.
  • 3 evolutions — enemies you bring down up close drop more thunder magatama. Gather them and Raijin is promoted, stage by stage. Once she rises, she never falls back.
  • Sigils — after boss fights, choose one of three Sigils from the masters of the sky and build your run.

No RNG — learn it, dodge it

Enemy movement cycles. The opening stages are set by a single pattern number.
Nothing is left to luck: what you learn is what you keep.
Touching an enemy does not kill you — you pay with a stagger and lost power. And the closer you fight, the harder you hit.

Seven stages and a second loop

Pass through three of four opening skies, face every mid-boss again at the Beacon Tower of the Highest Peak, climb the Stairs of the Raised Head against the wind, choose your path at the Throne of the Sky, and take the trial of the King of the Sky at the Sky Temple.
Clear the run and the second loop begins — with the stage you skipped and the path you did not take.
