ABOUT SONDER & TEAM

Why hello there, fellow exploration game fans! :3

The developers behind SONDER are a bunch of friends from Austria (Europe - ...no, not the one with the kangaroos! :) ) who continue developing this game in their spare time. Originally, we started this game as our master project, exploring the depths of knowledge-based progression systems in video games, being a case study for cozy post-apocalyptic environments, and delving into sound design in time manipulated settings. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

All developers of SONDER strive for a progressive use of new science & technology. 
We cannot overlook current issues that come with the use of generative artificial intelligence, and the global threats it opposes in:

• the environment

• cybersecurity, data privacy

• politics, misinformation, manipulation, transparency, biased information

• ethics, intellectual property, job market, creativity

Because of this, SONDER does NOT use any type of AI-generated art, meaning that all assets and code (incl. 3D models, 2D art, story, text, marketing material etc.) are self-made.

About the Game

You wake up in an enormous cave system, and all you remember is your research mission to save your civilization from an imminent flood in a world in which time now suddenly started flowing back and forth.
