The year 780, Quattuoris 32nd. Notoriously determined investigative journalist Frederick Emery is twenty minutes late to deliver an announcement he claims will change the entire New World, when tragedy strikes. 

His own daughter, Faith, discovers his body in his bedroom, beside a suicide note and a bottle of seemingly poisoned wine... but before the aspiring photojournalist can grieve, her investigative instincts kick in - she knows her father hated the taste of wine!

Shunned by the police who insist her father's death isn’t suspicious, Faith must turn to jaded former-cop-turned-P.I. Lukas Egret to seek the truth, as the two are unwittingly dragged into a web of corruption, conspiracy, murder, and abuse of power that tracks all the way to the very heart of government, digging up decades of dark history.
