Shutter
About the Game
You were on your way to a photography gig for a wedding event when a flat tire brings your trip to a sudden halt. While your boyfriend stays behind to fix the vehicle, you spot a sign for a nearby lake and decide to explore the forest trail. Armed with your camera and a walkie-talkie, you venture into the dense trees and rocky paths to capture some nature shots while you wait.
What begins as a simple detour to a serene lake quickly turns tense and unsettling. As you explore, you discover scattered mysterious tape records left by a retired scientist. Each tape uncovers the forest’s dark secrets, guiding you deeper into the wilderness and closer to danger.
The forest is alive with eerie phenomena: distorted audio over your walkie-talkie, sudden noises, birds bursting from the trees, and a secret cult that seem to watch your every move. Use your skills as a photographer to document wildlife, strange occurrences, and unsettling sights. All the while, you must navigate a tense relationship with your boyfriend; his voice over the walkie-talkie can be a source of comfort or a growing point of frustration.
Keep a sharp eye out for hidden collectibles, like a few elusive ducks that unlock a special Easter egg. But be warned: the deeper you go, the closer you come to a monstrous presence. Your detour to the lake is about to culminate in a chilling and unforgettable climax.
