Shellcrushers
About the Game

Shellcrushers is a stylized tower defense game about a roach swarm the size of a river, turrets you build up like RPG characters, and maps that are never the same twice.
The Shellcrushers are an elite squad of small aliens who already lost their home world to the swarm. Now the roaches on Earth are waking up, and the Extermination Service sends crews in before the humans notice. Clear the site, collect the biomass, file the report in triplicate. The end of the world is no excuse to skip the paperwork.
Before the wave, place every turret by hand: turn its firing sector, pull it closer or push it farther, and a drop pod brings it down.
Tens of thousands of roaches flow toward your base like a river. Every one that slips through costs you.
A toothpick machine gun, a cannon, a flamethrower, a tesla coil, a railgun and a rocket launcher. Each turret can take an ascendancy that changes how it fights: shells that punch through a whole line, rockets that leave a poison cloud, toothpicks that set the crowd on fire. Every turret takes one ascendancy out of five: physical, fire, ice, poison or lightning.
Click anywhere and the HQ howitzer fires there. Save it for when the line is about to break.
At level 5 every turret unlocks its own ability. You aim it, and all turrets of that type fire together. In Coordinate Salvo, for example, every rocket launcher hits the point you pick, however far away it stands.
Three campaigns of five maps each: a kitchen, a restaurant and a warehouse. A job board of procedurally generated maps in five tiers, with skull modifiers to make them harder. And the sewers: 100 levels down, each one harder than the last.
Every turret has its own big tree of upgrades with branches and builds to plan. Between runs, spend what you scrape off the roaches and shape each turret your way. On the toothpick machine gun alone, one build chases crits and ricochets, another lets the barrel heat up so every shot hits harder.
