Seasons of Solitude
About the Game
Face the Elder’s Trials
Seasons of Solitude is a turn-based survival strategy set in a prehistoric world inspired by Estonian nature and myth. You are in exile, acting through two versions of yourself: the Exile and their Echo. Together, you must read the land, plan your routes, and keep its fragile balance as shifting seasons reshape every move.
Plan the Unknown: Every trial starts in unfamiliar land. Planning means knowing what each tile can offer, when to gather, and when to leave resources untouched to ease the land’s strain. Position yourself to trigger powerful combos that reward efficient land use. Reshape tiles into new states and leaving a lasting mark on the world.
Gather With Purpose: Food, water, and materials are never guaranteed. Tiles deplete and return in new forms, letting you learn how the land cycles. Push too hard and they slip into barren grassland, weakening yields and straining their local area. Restore worn ground to keep the cycle flowing. Seasons add pressure, limiting what you can gather and when. Survival is a balance of staying alive, progressing your tools, and protecting the land that sustains you.
Secure Your Gains: Your hard-won resources are never safe. Animals claim what they need, consuming food and water you worked to grow. Stop them too often and they starve, leaving tiles depleted. Hazards strike struggling areas, blocking access but opening new ways to interact through tools. Protect what matters, allow what must flow, and decide what you are willing to lose.
Adapt and Evolve: The land is never fixed. Local areas shift in size and strength depending on how you use them. Grow an area for greater rewards or keep it small to limit risk. Isolated bubbles can thrive, but collapse quickly if neglected. Every area feeds into the global land-state, raising or lowering the world’s overall resilience. Tools let you shape your strategy: restore barren ground, bypass renewal cycles, convert materials into land tokens, trap over-eager animals for food, or exploit hazards to gain rare resources. Seasons tighten, pressures rise, and your survival depends on how well you read the land and shape it to your plan.

Summer feeds you, autumn starves you. The bog slows your feet, frost blocks your path, and drought steals your water. Every shift changes the rules and the conditions you’re playing under.Two-pawn tactics

The Land Responds
The world is formed from areas that track how you gather. Nurture an area and it renews with better yields. When you need more, you can deliberately grow it wider, knowing that overuse will make it shrink or wither, increasing danger and weakening the land around it. These shifts ripple into the global land-state and change overall conditions on the map, from how forgiving renewal is to how much pressure you feel.A World Worth Enduring
Hand-painted tiles inspired by Estonian nature and mythology bring the trials to life. Every tile is beautiful, every step is dangerous.
