About the Game

In Ryze, you play as the Aequus, someone who exists in two worlds at once. As two dimensions collapse into each other, you find yourself with the need to climb. Why? That you do not know. However, you might find the answer somewhere in the heights above you. 

Throw yourself to the top, past challenging and diverse biomes in the unforgiving, quirky, 2D platformer that is Ryze. But beware, one misstep and the loss may turn out to be high... or low depending on perspective.

• Throw to teleport movement. Easy to learn, difficult to master.

• One goal: going up! While the main path is often obvious, it might not be the easiest... or is it?

• Platforms move between dimensions; time your throws well, or you might fall.

• The higher you climb, the harder you fall. You can't die, though you're allowed to wish for it.

• New challenges with each area that will test your patience.

• Nostalgic-yet modern soundtrack that is deeply tied to the gameplay.

• Optional Checkpoints: For those who would like to suffer a little less.

• Deep Lore: If you seek to learn about the world you are exploring, keep your eyes open, and it will reveal its story to you.

• Beautiful pixel art: dozens of frame-by-frame animated NPCs and detailed hand-drawn biomes.

• Leaderboards: Challenge your friends and the world to be the fastest or most optimal one to rise.
