Rustmire
About the Game
As the captain of a landship, you traverse ruins, no-go zones, and regions of extreme climate to gather resources and clash with other roaming cities. Use loot from battles to expand your hull modularly, and issue orders—repair, reload, resupply, maneuver—to make it through the crisis.
Combat isn’t just a contest of firepower. Dodge incoming fire with piloting to buy time, and use calculated module layouts to manage angles of impact so you take less damage even when hit. If the enemy attempts a boarding rush, twist your corridors and bury critical systems deep to scramble their route. Conversely, open a fight by focusing fire to destroy a single module and board through the breach, or conserve ammo by hammering the hull for a steady takedown. Design choices, maneuvering, and target selection decide the outcome.
Along the way, maintenance logs, radio traffic, and shattered signage won’t say much outright. But they let you infer why cities climbed onto wheels, who went underground, and which regions remain lethal.
Key Features
Modular Build & Expansion: Stack and swap weapons, generators, engines, and quarters to design your own landship.
Real-Time Combat & Command: Set crew priorities and direct repair, reload, resupply, movement, and evasion to control the battle.
Strategic Options: Evasive piloting, damage-mitigating layouts, targeted module kills followed by boarding, or ammo-saving hull focus—adapt to the situation.
Resource Loop: Allocate combat/scavenged resources to maintenance, fuel, and munitions. Module damage disables functions, making risk/reward crystal clear.
Environmental Storytelling: Notes, transmissions, and ruin markers let you infer the origins of roaming cities and underground havens.
Pixel-Art Aesthetic: Side-view duels between moving cities with tactile, metal-on-metal impact.
