Rituals & War: Shan Hai is a Strategic Turn-based RPG set in a world of collapsed myth.

Since the “Severing of Heaven and Earth” that divided gods and men, the deities have fallen silent and ancient beasts grow restless.

This is the realm of Shu, a world where myth has collapsed. As the “King” of Ancient Shu, you carry the oath of the “Lord”—a high priestess bound to her altar—and march by right of conquest into the fracture where Shanhai myth bleeds into the Central Plains.

Your journey will face:

• A Core Question: Since Heaven’s will is severed, how shall mankind make Heaven and Earth hear one another again?

• A Harsh Rule: Victory is forged in foresight and planning. Every move is a calculated risk; a single miscalculation can lead to total defeat.

• A Fractured Investigation: Truth will not reveal itself. You must piece together forgotten answers through exploration, combat, and scattered remnants of the past.

Pre-set Commands · Simultaneous Resolution

Your foe’s lethal intent is laid bare—now it’s your turn to orchestrate your response.

This is a battle of simultaneous resolution: both you and your opponent pre-commit to a full action sequence, then resolve it on a single shared timeline.

Every order, link, and trade-off can trigger chain reactions as the two sequences interweave, continually reshaping the situation.

Anticipate correctly, and each strike lands with precision; miscalculate once, and the tide turns.

Strategic Depth: Yang Qi · Stance · Circulate Qi

Combat is more than just winning a single round—it is the art of managing three long games.

[Yang Qi] Power is never a gift. Drive your combos to stir your inner breath, transmuting Yin into Yang. —only then can you afford high-cost finishing strikes.

[Stance] A stance is not just a buff; it is a wager. If you are driven into Stance Break. your carefully maintained form will instantly collapse. In the heat of battle, spending actions to re-establish your stance often comes at a brutal price.

[Circulate Qi] The silence between blows is a tactic in itself. Circulate Qi to steady your rhythm and build momentum, ensuring your next round opens with a safer window and a firmer advantage.

A Shattered Truth: Reconstructing the “Severing of Heaven and Earth”

Truth does not reveal itself; it lies scattered in the world’s forgotten corners.

You will salvage fragments from ruins, broken slips, oracle-bone cracks, and whispered tales.. These shards come from many sources: from men, from beasts, and from the silence of the “above.”

Contradictory and incomplete, they all point to the same riddle: Why were Heaven and Earth severed—and why does blight rise now?

Only by pressing on—through conquest and discovery—can you piece together the forgotten answer from the seams between lies and omens.

Augury for the Path · Sacrifice to Leave a Mark

You will traverse the kingdoms of the Central Plains, crossing wild borders and wilderness, stepping into forgotten ruins and forbidden sanctums.

[Omens] The road ahead is veiled; you scorch the shell and ask the heavens. Before every move, the cracks burned into tortoise shell become your guide. These signs of fortune or calamity do more than shape what you will face—they directly tilt the coming battle.

[Rituals] To “Save” is no mere menu click—it is a rite that must be performed. At an altar, you must offer precious resources in sacrifice to appease silent deities; only then can you preserve your place upon the path.

Here, progress is not mere travel—it is a record of choices, each paid for in full.
