One new rule changes everything.

Every piece starts with a score of 2. Each flip doubles it. Victory is decided not by piece count, but by total score. You can hold 30 pieces and still lose to a single "2048."

No lead is safe. One chain of high-score flips can swing the entire game in an instant. Even letting your opponent flip your pieces can be part of the plan — tension lasts until the very last move.
