Kill monsters with the RIGHT word... or the WRONG ones!

Randel’s Quest is a slot-driven, Wordle-style roguelike battler. Roll the slots for effects, follow the color hints, and strike the right word at the right moment. Every word counts, even the wrong ones! Between runs, you’ll bolt new effects onto your slot machine, and enemies will keep stuffing more into the same machine to keep you on your toes!  Expect lots of surprises, evolving fights, and steady meta-progression.

HOW TO PLAY

1️⃣ At the start of each turn, you spin a 3-reel machine, one reel per color!

2️⃣ Use the color hints:

• 🟩 Green (right letter, right spot): trigger the Green reel’s effect.

• 🟨 Yellow (right letter, wrong spot): trigger the Yellow reel’s effect.

• ⬜ Grey (letter not in the word): trigger the Grey reel’s effect.

3️⃣ Strike with the right word at the right moment!

Every word counts. Even the wrong ones!

ROGUELIKE LOOP & META-PROGRESSION

• Build the machine: unlock new effects into your reels during each run.

• Enemy escalation: foes don’t spin the machine, but they add nasty effects and counters to its pool as you advance.

• Surprises abound: events, oddball encounters, and reel mutations keep every run fresh.

• Recover secret words: find and carry “Lost Language” words between runs, rare inputs that unlock powerful abilities, rule-bending effects, and combo chains.

• Color hint economy: spend Greens, Yellows, and Greys as currency, buy items, reroute upgrades, and repair your slot machine between fights.
