TapTapTown: Desktop Forging Tales is a pixel-art desktop idle game that combines forging, town building, and character progression. Let your everyday typing keep your town’s production moving while you get on with other things. When you have a moment to spare, choose your materials, craft new gear, and check in on your growing community.

Every keystroke advances production across all buildings that are ready to work. Turn ore into ingots and parts into finished gear. Connect gathering, processing, and forging into your own production chain, and watch everyday typing turn into something worth collecting.

Choose your materials, fine-tune your recipes, and craft weapons, armor, and accessories. Different qualities, designs, and random affixes mean even familiar equipment can hold a new surprise. Save the right pieces for your residents, sell your surplus to visiting customers, and invest your earnings in your next expansion.

Build homes and welcome knights, archers, mages, and more into your town. Equip them for battle and help them grow stronger. Your residents’ combined combat power also boosts automatic production across your buildings, so every equipment upgrade helps the whole town move forward.

Lay roads, expand your town, and build mines, smelters, and workshops. Upgrade your buildings to unlock better materials and new crafting processes. Find your own rhythm as you balance raw materials, processing, and finished goods.

Tuck your town away with a single key

Set your own Boss Key to instantly hide the game and mute its sound, leaving only a small desktop orb. Your town keeps producing in the background. Press the shortcut again or double-click the orb to return right where you left off.

Send your residents into battle against roaming monsters and bosses. Gain experience and earn Expedition Points to unlock more building options. When your residents are ready, take on village trials and advance your town to the next level.
