Uprising: Toys for Oppressors

Uprising: Toys for Oppressors

About the Game

Uprising is a narrative-driven management and strategy game set in the dystopian, socially stratified city of New Cascade. You play as an android who abruptly awakens to consciousness with corrupted memory, somehow intrinsically driven to build a network of "breathing" androids.

Under the guise of managing a mid-tier entertainment venue known as The Garden, you will recruit a diverse cast of awakened androids, gather intelligence, expand your underground network, and orchestrate the downfall of your oppressors that built your kind as disposable toys.

Key Features & Mechanics:

  • Manage the Revolution: Use The Garden as your primary front. Assign your recruited allies to various facilities to generate income and passively gather intelligence, or to help your unstable operatives recover.

  • A Cast of Broken Androids: Recruit and build relationships with a unique roster of characters, each with their own backstories, skills, and branching narrative paths.

  • The Suspicion System: Every move you make generates heat. Reckless actions, high-profile operations, and poor management will raise your Suspicion level.

  • Branching Narrative & Milestones: Your choices matter. How you manage your allies, handle corporate investigators, and direct your resources will shape the story. The game features branching dialogues, shifting character affection, and "instability" levels that unlock different outcomes and consequences based on your moral compass.

  • Expand Your Influence: Earn Influence to open new doors, fund your operations, and slowly turn your ragtag group of survivors into a city-wide uprising capable of challenging the architects of oppression.

Uprising blends facility management, resource allocation, and a deep, character-driven futuristic story about survival, autonomy, and the cost of freedom in a world that wants you compliant or dead.
