About the Game

Please The Orb is a deceptively simple tactical roguelike deckbuilder driven by complex spatial puzzle mechanics.

You have one simple goal: score points.

SOUNDS EASY ENOUGH, RIGHT?

All you have to do is drag and drop 'Things' onto a grid.

Some Things score points, while others might multiply their surroundings. Place a Thing scoring 30 points next to a Thing multiplying its surroundings by x3, and you score 90 points. Nice!

But then you place a Thing scoring 90 points next to three Things multiplying their surroundings by x6, which is also being triggered by a Repeat, boosted later by a Banner, and amplified by a couple off-grid Runes... and suddenly you're scoring 5,598,720 points.

NOTHING IS EVER SO SIMPLE

The Orb is insatiable, and only you can please it. Score enough points to beat ever-increasing targets and survive the Orb's trials. Draft quirky 'Things' with unique abilities, strategically arrange them on your grid, and then watch it come alive in a fireworks display of points.

MASTER THE ARCANE

  • Adapt or Decay: Nothing is permanent. Many 'Things' have strict limits. After a few triggers, your most crucial pieces will expire and rot into your discard pile, forcing you to continuously draft, patch, and rebuild your engine mid-run.

  • Infinite Synergies: Draft from a massive Compendium of Beasts, Fiends, Structures, and Artifacts. Discover secret combinations by merging items together on the board.

  • Runes & Mystics: Bend the rules of the game. Equip permanent Runes to alter how the math works, or hold powerful one-time-use Mystic spells in your Pouch to break limits, clone items, or transmute rarities on the fly.

  • Manage Your Economy: Favour is everything. Buy game-breaking Augments and Booster Packs from the Goblin Shop, or sacrifice your own grid items to afford that one Legendary artifact you desperately need.

  • Survive The Trials: The Orb does not make things easy. Boss rounds infect your run with terrifying Quirks - from disabling your passives to taxing your Favour on every play. Adapt your engine, or perish.
