Paresis® II
About the Game
PARESIS® II takes place in the same location as the first game, but now you can freely roam the entire estate.

GAMEPLAY
Players will have to solve puzzles within each room to obtain keys for new locations. Each puzzle will usually center around the location you’re in. For example, if you’re in the Kitchen, you will need to solve a cooking-based puzzle.
Furthermore, the game features a robust combat system where players can fight several types of enemies using three weapons. These include: a lighter that allows you to see in dark areas and, once upgraded, can brighten those areas even further; a pistol that can eliminate enemies and later be used to slow their movement when struck; and a shotgun, which has similar capabilities to the pistol but offers a wider margin for hitting targets, making precise aim less necessary.
Enemies, on the other hand, have ways to dodge player attacks, and some will sprint rapidly toward you. Throughout the experience, you will encounter many different enemy types, each with a unique twist on how they must be defeated. Shooting enemies will be a challenge, as you must hit their heart, which can appear in various locations on their bodies. For example, one enemy’s heart may be on its back, forcing players to think twice before engaging head-on, while another’s may be on its head for a more traditional approach.
The real challenge of the experience, beyond the puzzles, lies in the boss fights. These encounters will be among the most difficult parts of the game and will serve as true tests for the player. Completing side quests will be extremely important to ensure you are fully prepared.
Side objectives are also a major part of Paresis® II. They allow players to obtain multiple upgrades for their equipment. Additionally, some side quests run deep and can include unique boss fight encounters.
Lastly, part of the challenge in Paresis® II is overcoming the horror itself. You will face frightening situations throughout the game—sometimes being stalked in a dark room with only your lighter. You can’t always shoot your way out.
Overall, this will be a thrilling experience for those looking for a grounded survival horror game.

HARDCORE MODE
Hardcore Mode is back and harder than ever. This mode is unlocked after completing Normal difficulty, which is already a challenge in itself.
If you’ve played Paresis®, you understand how difficult these games can be. Paresis® II is slightly more forgiving than the first installment; however, certain parts of this game will push the challenge even further.
The sequel is more accessible because your progress is saved whenever you obtain items. However, when you are faced with a challenging boss fight, you won’t be able to progress unless you defeat it.
So, good luck—and have fun!

STORY
Paresis® II picks up after the events of the first installment. However, the story has deepened and offers multiple ways to experience the narrative. Side quests, radios, and even the environments themselves help tell the story.
David, the son of Ryan, is the main character. He has already endured significant torment throughout his life and is now an FBI agent. Unfortunately, he becomes trapped in a world that will push him even further.
