Overwhelming
About the Game
FACE YOUR OTHER SELF
What if the person you could have been is watching you?
In Overwhelming, you step into two mirrored lives. Odysseus and Ulysses are two versions of the same person, shaped by different choices, different rules, and different ways of understanding the world.
The city looks the same.
But something is not right.
PLAY BY RULES OR NOT
Odysseus lives by structure.
Every action must follow his task.
If you break the rules, something feels wrong. He believes it may even lead to death.
Ulysses is different.
He moves freely, explores at his own pace, and follows his own curiosity.
But the more he searches, the less certain everything becomes.
THE SAME WORLD, DIFFERENT TRUTHS
You will meet the same people.
But you will not hear the same stories.
Characters respond to who you are. Your status, your behaviour, your presence all shape what they choose to reveal.
Sometimes they lie. Sometimes they hide things. Sometimes they only tell part of the truth.
There is no single version of reality.
RECONSTRUCT WHAT YOU THINK IS REAL
Explore through classic point and click gameplay.
Observe your surroundings, interact with objects, and gather fragments of information.
Then return to key moments.
Compare what each character experienced.
Reinterpret what you thought you understood.
The truth is something you build.
