About the Game

Welcome to The Puffed-Up Chef, where everything is full of air: the cooks, the guests and even their patience. Cook with friends, feed the balloon customers and don't let the kitchen pop.

Cooks full of hot air

Every cook is inflatable. Pump yourself up to jump higher and shove harder, and let some air out when the stove gets hot: hot air makes you swell, and an overinflated cook pops and whizzes around the kitchen. Caught a knife? Grab the tape and patch the hole. A deflated friend can be pumped back up. The more air, the rounder the cook: at the limit you're a balloon with arms.

A kitchen where nothing goes to plan

Chop tomatoes, pound meat, cook soup and keep stirring it or it burns. Wash plates, mop up puddles and throw dishes across the room when you can't run to the table. Knife, ladle, mop and bare hands: every tool has its job. Don't leave plates underfoot: run into one and you'll trip, sending the dish in your hands straight to the floor.

Guests who pop with rage

Balloon guests swell up while they wait, turn red and finally pop. BANG! The spiky guest bursts into needles, the helium one floats to the ceiling, the brawler yells at the whole room, the gourmet won't eat a squashed dish and the inspector writes everything down. Groups, VIP guests with three courses and huge banquets drop in too. Leave a dish lying around and the flies move in. You can still serve it, but the guest will make a scene: throw up all over the place, pop with rage or demand a refund.

Build your restaurant

Between days, place tables, stations and decor, and buy new rooms: a second hall, a bakery, a bar, a cold room, a grill terrace, a pastry shop, a smokehouse and a VIP lounge. Each has its own machines: a dough mixer, a soda geyser, a shawarma spit, a catapult frying pan. Conveyor belts and pneumatic tubes move food on their own, and reputation stars unlock new dishes, 25 in all.

Every day, a new rush

Happy hour doubles the crowd, the lights go out and the stoves stop, a delivery runs late, a machine breaks down, and every seventh day is a festival. Grow from one star to five and don't let your reputation pop.

Play solo or with up to four: online through Steam or on one PC with the screen split in two or four. Proximity voice chat, full controller support and 11 languages.
