About This Game

“How was I supposed to know that helping an old lady across the street is a crime in the Orc Realm? I mean, really. Okay, so she didn't actually want to cross, and now she lives on the wrong side of the street. But straight to the mine for that? Seems a bit over the top, if you ask me.”

– Arthur von Undzu, Inmate 4398 (Offense: Aggravated Helpfulness)

Welcome to Debt Mountain! In the Orc Realm, good cheer is subject to mandatory registration (Form 12c), but you dared to spread it without a permit. That doesn't just earn you a hefty fine: as punishment, you're sent down the mine to work off your debt. There, you dig deeper and deeper into the mountain, gather ore, smelt it into ingots and slowly manage to chip a few gold off your balance, or at least cover the interest.

But in this mine run by bureaucrats, nothing comes for free: brace yourself for additional costs like the breathing air levy, a flat-rate bed usage fee and the pickaxe rental charge. Wait, a pickaxe? You don't actually get one, though.

“So you can bash my skull in? Dig with your hands!”

Every Punch Hardens Your Hands

Dig your way through different layers of rock and watch your delicate hands grow thick calluses until your skin feels like stone. But that's only the beginning: with every new hardening level, you punch your way one layer deeper into the mountain, and eventually your hands will glow blue like crystal!

In your search for ever more valuable ores, you'll stumble upon abandoned tunnels, find special items and discover that you're not entirely alone down here after all...

File for Rebellion!

Deep underground, you first meet two zombies who, out of sheer boredom, have spent decades “extreme chilling” in bed. Grateful, they leap to your side and dig like there's no tomorrow, while deeper in the mountain you unearth more long-lost creatures to join your crew, like a vain mushroom princess or the gluttonous Geobro.

Take care of your comrades' needs and they'll help you plan the breakout. But watch out! The orcs had better not find out that your new friends exist, let alone that they're secretly stashing away ingots for their own weapons and armor...

Play solo or in co-op with up to three fellow inmates. After all, digging is always more fun together!

There's also a free VR mode on board: no DLC, no separate game, just because we can. But be warned: here you dig with real punches, so make sure your surroundings are safe from you!
