About the Game

Guardian of the Hill: Birth of a Legend is an open-world survival RPG inspired by Celtic history and the era of ancient Celtic strongholds, where the player takes on the role of a warrior destined to conquer the mountain peak and uncover the secrets hidden beyond it.

Travel across a dangerous world and complete quests from characters such as Paul Bhala and other inhabitants of the land. Help them, gain experience, and gradually become a legendary Celt capable of surviving even the harshest conditions.

Explore a vast open world filled with dangerous wildlife, hostile tribes, forgotten ruins, and hidden mysteries. Every region offers new challenges, resources, and enemies that will test your ability to survive.

Progress through an experience (XP) system gained by defeating enemies and completing quests. As you level up, improve your character and adapt abilities to your preferred playstyle — whether you favor melee combat, archery, or a balanced approach.

Gather resources from the environment and use them to craft tools, weapons, armor, and equipment. The crafting system allows you to prepare for increasingly difficult battles and dangerous expeditions.

Build and expand your own fortified settlement — a defended Celtic hillfort that serves as the center of your tribe. Construct defenses, manage resources, and protect your people from enemy raids.

The combat system is inspired by “souls-like” games, requiring precise timing, dodging, and strategic thinking. Use swords, bows, and other weapons to survive encounters with deadly enemies and powerful warriors.

The game features a dynamic day and night cycle that significantly affects gameplay. During the day, you can safely explore, trade, and complete quests, while the night brings stronger enemies and far greater danger.

Raid enemy strongholds, expand your territory, and defend your settlement against incoming attacks. Rise through battle and hardship to become the true Guardian of the Hill and uncover the truth hidden behind the mountain.
