Observation Post 7
About the Game
The Directorate is watching. So are you.
Observation Post 7 is a dystopian surveillance sim about the person behind the camera. Every evening you clock in at Observation Post 7. A wall of CCTV feeds. A city full of people who think nobody sees them. A quota you have to meet before the shift ends.
Spot the vandal, the smuggler, the leaflet-dropper, the man who ran a red light. Open their file. Then decide: let them go, report them, or order a public sentence. The Directorate pays in rations and loyalty. Your daughter Mira is waiting at home, and she needs to eat.
Watch. Judge. Go home.
Monitor a wall of live camera feeds and catch eight kinds of offence, from vandalism and contraband to sedition, unlawful assembly and assault.
Read the dossier, weigh the evidence and pass judgment. Innocent people get caught too. The Directorate does not care, but your loyalty rating does.
Meet your quota every shift. Fall short and the consequences come knocking.
Read the next day's Gazette, where your reports become headlines.
Five island cities
Start in Grauberg and earn your transfer by train across the rail viaduct to New Cardinal, Volsk, Port Hallow and finally Meridian. Each city has its own skyline, its own smog and its own crimes, and in each one the Directorate watches a little closer.
A father, not just an operator
Walk home through the streets in first person, or switch to an over-the-shoulder third-person view. Buy bread before the bakery closes. Have breakfast with Mira, read to her before she sleeps, and find the 15 gifts hidden across the cities. She is the reason you keep doing this job.
The streets fight back
Parkour across the rooftops: climb drop ladders and fire escapes, leap between buildings and roll out of a long fall.
Take rooftop jobs for extra rations, away from the cameras... mostly.
Hijack a car, outrun the patrols, or recline in the seat and lie low until they pass.
Knock lampposts, bollards and benches flying. Break a hydrant and ride the geyser.
Commit a few small crimes of your own. Just make sure no camera, and no operator like you, is watching.
Your choices decide how it ends
Obey, bend or break. Several endings depend on who you report, who you spare and what kind of parent you are.
