Nights of Nil
About the Game
An action-strategy village survival game set in a mysterious archipelago reclaimed from the wild.
The King has decreed it: the forsaken islands of Nil must be reclaimed.
You control a small band of shipwrecked survivors—workers, warriors, and a lone Governor—tasked with settling these dangerous, procedurally generated islands. The mission is clear: build, survive, and hold each island for ten long nights to prove the land is safe… and claim it in the name of the kingdom.
But the islands have other plans.
Switch Between Any Villager
Unlike typical colony sims, Nights of Nil lets you jump into the boots of any individual at any time.
Cut a tree. Fire a bow. Build a house. Swing a sword.
Then assign them a job and move on — they'll continue working without you.
Survive the Nights
As the sun sets, the islands come alive with danger.
Goblins, slimes, and worse crawl out from the wilds to attack your village.
Each island must be held for 10 nights.
If your villagers are driven out — or your well is overtaken — progress resets for that island.
You can focus on one island at a time... or split your forces and defend several at once.
Build and Expand
Gather resources like wood, stone, and food.
Construct homes, barracks, farms, and fortifications.
Recruit new villagers to strengthen your settlement.
Deploy Governors and unlock tactical RTS camera views for each claimed island.
