Misdamnation
About the Game

Stripped of his memories and identity by a botched military experiment in order to become the perfect soldier,
DIV-0519 was forced to flee the hidden training Facility way too soon. Keep this fugitive alive as you explore a surreal country, ruled by fear and strict laws.

FEATURES
CHARACTER-DRIVEN NARRATIVE: Atmospheric, eerie story exploring loss of identity, set in a seemingly hopeless world, tinted with surrealism. This game can end in a few ways - it's up to you how Div and the people of the Archonate of Concordis will wind up.
UNFORGETTABLE INDIVIDUALS: Each of the characters you meet has a distinctive story, their own agenda, and a soul. Even the Voice that communicates with you through your thoughts feels real. Very real.
PSYCHE-AFFECTING COMBAT: Taking lives away is so easy that the real challenge is stopping yourself – especially when you're Hungry. Remember, though – the more your heart softens, the harder any act of hurting others weighs on your conscience.
VARYING CONSEQUENCES: The mechanics of Particles, which encompass different aspects of your humanity impacted by your choices, will influence the narrative, dialogues, and combat.
HUNGER: HUNGER AVOID HUNGER STARVATION HUNGER AT HUNGER ALL HUNGER COSTS. HUNGER IT HUNGER HURTS HUNGER TOO HUNGER MUCH.

Misdamnation is a gripping tale about humanity, identity, lost memories, and power. Influenced by RPG Maker cult classics, it blends elements of psychological horror and role-playing games, drawing themes from the cruel history of modern psychiatry and human experiments.
Discover who Div used to be and shape who he'll become. Make both Allies and Enemies, while humouring or attempting to disobey the Voice only you can hear. Join the rebellion, sabotage them, or choose to completely stay out of all this. Above all, do your best to survive in the totalitarian nation. Just remember that with every choice, you move one step closer to either giving up on Div’s humanity or embracing its remnants.
Enter the colorless Archonate of Concordis – an island with closed-off borders, ruled by a totalitarian government called The Hand for over 500 years now. The Concordisian social hierarchy depends on the generational levels of loyalty to the state and its ideology of Unity. You'll get a possibility to infiltrate each of the three secluded districts, called Parts, and your actions within them will have a direct impact on the Revolution.
The Facility's rules are part of your flesh now, and as long as you were there, you wouldn't dare to disobey them. Will getting into Concordis make you forge enough Will to cut them out of your cells or encourage them to root even deeper?
Will your Div be a raging Empath, a brutal, perfect killing machine, or someone else entirely? Each choice you make influences your Particles, which are aspects of Div's humanity. Unlock special dialogue lines depending on your playstyle and face the consequences of it, visible both during combat and narrative.
In Misdamnation, your mind, not your body, makes you stronger or weaker in combat.
That's reflected in a unique, especially for an RPG Maker game, combat system.
You've spent the last four years getting better and better at killing in every way possible. Most of the citizens are helpless around you. Winning encounters isn't hard. Stopping yourself from hurting others is. And when you're hungry, it's impossible. Maybe if you've learned to silence the Voice, it'd be easier? But how, when she was your protector and guide for your whole life, as you remember it?
The Particles and your relationship with the Voice both influence your combat possibilities. Depending on your Particles’ levels, Div can hurt others way more than you've planned or way less, if his heart softens as a result of your decisions.
It's tough being an empathetic and kind human being in this totalitarian madness. If you choose this path, don't be surprised if you start feeling guilty for things that in the past would have never affected you. A human mind can only take so much guilt before it breaks.
Don't be silly. Monsters like you don't deserve it. You don't need their stupid pity anyway. It's too late for you now. Just give up on yourself already. And never feel HUNGER ever again.
