MeteorMunch: Planet Eater
About the Game
MeteorMunch: Planet Eater is an incremental planet-eating game where your herd devours entire worlds, one leaf at a time, right before the meteor hits.
"Kzzt... is this thing on? Good. You're awake. Welcome to MunchCorp, and to your new life of indentured servitude!"
You owe MunchCorp exactly $49,735,862,114,208. Pay it, or your home planet is next. Your starting gear: one frog. Barely functional.
Send your herd out and watch them graze. Frogs, pigeons, chickens, dogs, sheep, elephants... and eventually a T-Rex. Every plant they chew breaks apart and drops coins.
Nine worlds, from Meadow World through Rust Canyon, Storm Marsh and Ember Peaks to the Mega-Globe, each with its own plants and its own buildings, from tribal huts to stone villas, city blocks and army bases. Nothing is safe. Eat 100% of the planet before your shift ends.
Coins don't collect themselves. Click them, sweep them, and later buy Auto Collect and let the money pour in. Any coin still on the ground when time runs out is lost forever.
Every planet has its own huge upgrade map. More animals, faster legs, stronger jaws, bigger bites, and permission to eat ever-tougher food. Global Research opens new buildings and powers on every planet.
Call in the UFO Beam: saucers sweep the planet, scrape it clean and lift the invaders off into the sky.
Click an invader and Chain Lightning jumps on to the next, and the next.
Steer a Rain Cloud over the bare ground and watch the grass grow back under it. Everything eaten in the rain pays more.
Set the grass on Fire and let it spread from plant to plant. Plus Area Boost, All Boost and a Meteor Shower you aim yourself.
Strip a planet bare and it cracks open and blows apart. Massive payout, spectacular explosion, next job please.
Later planets fight back. Red-eyed predators hunt your herd, and if every animal falls, the run is over. Research blasters for your animals' backs, then build turrets, rocket launchers and Speed, Shield and Payout towers. Put down Hotels that pay you and Mines that dig up rocks. Keep the herd alive and keep eating.
Press F9 and the game shrinks into Desktop Mode: a small square window in a corner of your screen, on top of your other windows. The herd keeps eating while you write, code or answer email. Buy IDLE MODE for a planet and it plays shift after shift by itself.
Your dispatcher at MunchCorp is cheerful, cruel and always on the line. Then a mysterious UFO shows up with an offer. Accept it... or report it to your boss. Your choice decides how the story ends.
