Medieval Thieves Academy
About the Game
Medieval Thieves Academy is an online co-op stealth game with proximity voice chat for 2 to 4 players. Sneak through castles and mansions, steal every treasure you can carry, and spend your loot between runs on stat upgrades and tools. Push as far as you can, efficient or not.
๐ฐ INFILTRATE THE CASTLE
Navigate through rooms, corridors and courtyards patrolled by guards with unpredictable routes. Every run starts with a different patrol pattern, what worked last time might get you caught this time. Stay out of their line of sight, use the shadows to your advantage, and move carefully. One wrong step and the whole team pays the price. You have until dawn to get out, after that, the castle goes on full alert.
๐ฐ STEAL THE LOOT
Treasures are scattered across every map, golden chalices, gemstones, jewellery and more. Only one player can carry the loot bag at a time, but anyone can pick it up if the carrier gets caught. This single mechanic naturally creates roles within your team: who carries, who scouts, who distracts? Reach the minimum loot required and bring the bag back to your starting point before dawn to complete the run.ย Some treasures are hidden in hard to reach places, expect to jump, climb and coordinate with your team to get to them.
๐ SOLVE PUZZLES
The most valuable loot is never easy to reach. Colored levers unlock matching doors, and pressure plates trigger hidden mechanisms, but not everything works in your favor. Some are traps: trigger the wrong one and you might lock your team in a room, release a wave of guards, or send players falling through the floor to an unknown part of the castle. Talk to your teammates before you touch anything. A wrong move can unravel an entire run in seconds.
โ๏ธ ESCAPE OR ROT IN JAIL
Get spotted by a guard and the chase is on. Lose him within a few seconds, duck into a room, break his line of sight, outrun him, and he'll give up and return to his patrol. But let him catch you and you'll be instantly teleported to one of three prisons scattered across the map. To free a captured teammate, someone has to reach their cell and hold the release mechanism for 3 seconds, easier said than done when the path is rarely clear. Leave too many teammates behind and the run becomes nearly impossible. Let everyone get caught and it's game over, no second chances.ย And if some of your crew are still behind bars when the rest escape, the group will have to pay a fine to bail them out back at the hideout, every coin spent on bail is a coin you won't spend on upgrades.
๐๏ธ SPEND YOUR LOOT IN THE SEWERS
Back in your hideout between runs, the team pools their loot together and decides how to spend it. Upgrade your stats to move faster, carry the loot bag with less penalty, or extend your stamina for longer sprints. Spend wisely on tools that can turn a desperate situation around: throw a chicken to lure nearby guards away for a few seconds, use a slingshot to stun a guard in your path, or pop an invisibility potion when things get too hot. Every upgrade resets at the end of the session, so make every run count.
โฑ๏ธ HOW LONG IS A RUN?
Each run takes place on a single map and lasts up to 10 minutes, the time before dawn breaks and the guards become impossible to avoid. Chain multiple runs together through your hideout between each heist, spending your loot on upgrades before heading back in. A full session with your crew typically lasts 30 to 60+ minutes, but the further you push, the harder it gets, and the harder it is to stop.
