About the Game

Magical Showdown is a team-based arena brawler all about Magical Girls (and others) beating the snot out of anything that stands in the way of their dreams! Take a team of three, transform with style, and plunge into a fast-paced competition with three OTHER teams of three to accomplish the given objective first! A game for those that like cool costumes, easy to understand goals, and fun team play, you fight, run, and ally with (then maybe betray) your enemies in order to take down all comers!

Fast and furious combat!

Pick a character, and go in with wicked melee combat- to accomplish your goals, you'll have to get up close and personal! Designed for players seeking fast-paced, yet controllable team combat, you'll have to keep on your toes to keep track of both your allies and enemies.

• Light and Heavy Attacks: Whether death of a thousand cuts or hitting like a truck, mix these up to deliver the pain! Discover freestyle combos and tag team with your teammates to make any enemies regret challenging you!

• Special Skills: When you really need to change the pace, that's when you break out the Special techniques. Whether offensive, defensive, or to support your allies in a variety of ways, these skills will for sure cause opponents to think twice about messing with you.

• Defensive Techniques: Block it out, Roll away, or Burst enemies off of you with an all-directional attack to make sure that your pretty face isn't injured by any brutes!

With big monsters, crowds of smaller monsters, AND your rivals all out for your hide, you'll have to move quick and fight smart to take home the win!

Priority 1: Accomplish the Objective!

There's more than one objective here, but (almost) all of them will require teamwork, so don't think you can simply operate as a lone wolf! In fact, sometimes you'll need to work WITH your rivals them in order to pull it off!

• Takedown: Powerful monsters rampaging? No problem! Match up with two other players, and compete against three other teams of three to take it down first! However, these monsters always leave a Monster Core- take that to your base to secure it and rid the area of that menace for real! Just don't let your rivals steal it and take the credit!

• Scavenger: Artifacts thrown loose around the area after a big battle? You can handle it! Take your three-person team and scramble for the most legendary loot before your allotted time runs out- and if there's none unclaimed? You can always 'convince' a rival team to part with theirs...with your fists.

• Warrior's Arena: Got a grudge against someone in particular, or just want to get into a scrap without anyone or anything else interfering to test your strength? Enter the Warrior's Arena and settle things in the game's only one-on-one mode in a cage match. It's just you and your opponent until one of you drops!

• Marked Target: Something's gone wrong... a contestant isn't supposed to be the one being hunted! Not only that, whatever caused this caused the contestant to be supercharged! Take on up to eleven opponents as you try to survive until the time limit runs out, or work with the group to drop the rogue juggernaut!

The Right Girl (or Guy) in the Right Place!

With over 18 characters from a variety of magical girl (or guy, or other) archetypes, you're sure to find someone who resonates with you! Do you like traditional sparkling and cute magical girls? Maybe something more vicious and gothic, or mecha and sentai based? Perhaps even fuzzy and eclectic? Each has a dynamic fighting style and unique skills they're bringing to the table, ready to fight to the finish!

Generally, they fall into one of three categories:

1: Enforcer: These rambunctious Outgoers are all about getting into the mix of combat; usually they have high mobility or heavy hitting attacks; either way, their goal is to get stuck in the middle of a fight and dole out wanton close and personal damage.

2: Support: These types of Outgoers excel with giving their teammates an extra boost- or taking it from their enemies. Whether increasing or decreasing your strength, vitality, or speed, supports can be vital to making it out of a fight intact.

3: Defender: These are self-explanatory; Outgoers that are reliable bulwarks against attacks and status effects, they can defend their teammates to allow them to retreat, advance, or make other tactical maneuvers.

All that said, each and every character has individual, personalized moves with unique properties that cause them to approach objectives in their own way, and how your team interacts with you is going to cause every situation to be unique to the match as well. Make sure to choose carefully and find a character that fits YOUR playstyle!

Always Bring Supplies!

Before every battle, you'll be able to outfit your character with up to three pieces of Gear that you can purchase with in-game currency. These pieces of gear will modify your playstyle in a variety of ways, as an example:

• Allowing you to triple jump, instead of double jump.

• Make your dodges more effective

• Good ol' adding some extra oomph to your offensive power.

• And much, much more! There are over 30 pieces of Gear for your characters to equip and try out!

The right gear in the right situation can turn what would be a crushing defeat into a resounding victory!

When heroes, villains, and everyone in between are pushed against the wall, when hope to save the day dies, and all that remains is despair...many are given a deal too tempting to ignore. This is that deal- take part in the Magical Showdown, prove your will is the most superior, and earn something many don't get.
