About the Game
King For a Week makes you the interim ruler of your Kingdom. The ruler of your lands has left on a mysterious pilgrimage. Your job is to handle all the Kingdom's affairs in their absence.
You are the Interim King. From a first-person perspective, you interact with your subjects. From various tactical views, you get to assign the kingdom's resources, your troops and upgrade your castle. Each interaction and decision you make has consequences: your people might agree with you...or rise up against you!
The ruler of your kingdom returns after 7 long days. If you're still in charge at that point, they will judge your performance and assign your final fate.
FACE TO FACE JUDGMENT
Be the Judge. People from your kingdom come to you to be the judge of their conflicts. Treat your subjects as you wish. Interrogate, offer rewards, do what it takes to get to the truth. Be careful of your judgements as they might influence various factions of your Kingdom that will rise up against you if their survival is at stake.
ASSIGN RESOURCES
Comand the Kingdom's policies. From a tactical view, assign the resources of your kingdom to those that need it most. As always, it will be impossible to please everyone. Some of your decisions will be met with joy, others, with unhapiness or even declarations of secession and war. Always be careful as your own subordinates might be plotting against you...
THE FIGHTING
It's inevitable (or is it?). At some point, conflicts might occur. If so, you will need to take control of your forces. Assign your forces to different command posts and join the battle yourself, with your own royal weapons from a first-person perspective. Even here, every choice will matter. Will you attack assailants with lethal force and order executions, or will you be defensive and show leniency?
