About the Game

Kids of Karendow:

Welcome to the Kingdom of Karendow. A nation quietly fracturing under the weight of its own lies, where a resistance fights in the shadows and the government calls them terrorists. The truth, as always, is somewhere in between.

Experience the conflict from both sides. Play as Elmo Valore, son of the resistance's founder, who can't walk past injustice without doing something about it. Then switch to Kommander Krewl, the Daughter of Death, a soldier who has spent her entire life serving a kingdom she's starting to question. Their stories begin on opposite sides of a war. Where they end up is something else entirely.

Features:

  • Dual-Protagonist Storyline: Two full campaigns. Two perspectives on the same war. Switch between Elmo and Krewl as their paths collide across 30+ hours of game play.

  • Pixel Art Fantasy Sci-Fi World: Explore the Kingdom of Karendow, the Borderlands of Athalar, and a hidden empire thought destroyed in a 500-year war -- rendered in beautifully crafted pixel art.

  • Fast-Paced ATB Combat: Engage in active time battle with partial real-time mechanics. Adjust or disable combat entirely if you're here for the story.

  • Mini-Games and Side Quests: Hours of content beyond the main story, woven into the world rather than bolted onto it.

  • Configurable Difficulty: Tailor the experience to how you want to play.

  • Free Demo Available: Play the opening chapter now.

Meet the Heros:

Elmo Valore

Raised by his Aunt Aney after losing his parents to the conflict that now defines his life, Elmo never planned to be part of the resistance. He just couldn't stop himself from doing the right thing. That instinct is what makes him dangerous, and what makes him worth following.

Kommander Krewl

The head of the Karendow Anti-Terrorism Unit goes by her rank, not her name. Ruthless by reputation, guarded by nature, loyal to a kingdom that may not deserve it. The cracks in that loyalty are what make her story worth watching.
