About the Game

Incremental Orbits is a short incremental game about exploring our solar system. Set against a colorful retro aesthetic that mimics a CRT monitor, the game blends the steady progression of an idle game with the atmosphere of a space strategy simulation.

Discover and Upgrade

The core loop focuses on system-wide progression. Discovering a planet allows it to begin generating two main resources: money and science points. Reinvesting these resources back into your discovered planets upgrades their efficiency, boosting their output to fund the discovery of the next world further out in the solar system.

Contract System

To guide your progress, the game features a contract system that rewards specific milestones. Fulfilling objectives, such as successfully discovering a specific planet, provides the capital injections needed to expand your reach and push deeper into space.

Drawing inspiration from grand space strategy games, the experience focuses on a focused, atmospheric mood. It offers a clean and addictive management loop, letting you live out the fantasy of running a scientific and corporate space enterprise from a retro terminal.
