About the Game

Imagine We Were Human is a compilation of 12 imaginative, literary, nano games about humans meeting and missing one another.

Each game is unique in its presentation, design, and narrative while piecing together the human experiences that tether together each and every one of us across space, cultures, histories, and experiences.

Play though unconventional games that push past general design boundaries and labels; simple gameplay mechanics work to inform each narrative, while hand-crafted visuals present unforgettable moments between lovers, strangers, and more.

From hugging lost loves to escaping familial nightmares, ending deep relationships to reliving first dates, reminiscing on past friendships to embracing chance encounters; each game is a meditative study on what makes us human.

Once described as “Coffee Break Games,” pick from nine text-heavy stories that offer branching paths, subtle interactions, or genre-upending gameplay in 30 minutes or less; or enjoy three vignette breaks - five-minute game poems that revolve around a single, repeatable mechanic.
